I spent the day with my daughters (4 and 1) and my mom. We spent most of the day outside. We walked to our favorite rock pile and returned our "borrowed" rocks and took out "new ones". We played on the driveway and swinged on the big swing. We drew big chalk pictures. Picked weeds. Watered plants. Inspected the hosta beds. Dug around in the sandbox. Looked at the neighbor's new truck.

Talked about our trip to the lake this weekend and the upcoming turtle races. And what animals we might see at the lake.anniejshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06105990924416631050noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23619317.post-87725210977786291442009-04-07T19:48:00.000-04:002009-04-07T19:48:00.000-04:00It actually is a lovely spring day here in Minneso...It actually is a lovely spring day here in Minnesota (warm April sunshine and almost 50 degrees). We bought a house last fall, so that means new garden surprises in the spring - I'm starting to notice what look like some bulb plantings starting to come up - it will be exciting to see exactly what's in the garden.
Love all your farm animal pics!Kate (KnitsInClass)https://www.blogger.com/profile/09830097610159445833noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23619317.post-37230633902912888462009-04-07T17:21:00.000-04:002009-04-07T17:21:00.000-04:00The Jumper and her triplets are so dear. They're all in a lambing pen now and the ewe is being a good mother, but so "vocal", she was wearing me out!Dianne MacDonaldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10168188912154245536noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23619317.post-39344560380620420192009-04-07T12:21:00.000-04:002009-04-07T12:21:00.000-04:00Yesterday, in that awful raw downpour weather, our...Yesterday, in that awful raw downpour weather, our shearer came by for the first of two shearings this spring. We sheared in the barn, thankfully, but it was so cold. The only reason my hands didn't chap was because of the good lanolin in the shorn fleeces.

Today, I'm working on the mountain of laundry that shearing day always produces.
