When we moved to our little camp in the woods of New Salem, I decided to just have "a yard." It's much less stressful and I enjoy the May Flowers, wild strawberries, buttercups, asters, all the strange little things that show up. The birds like them too so obviously it's fine :)

Thanks, Kristin, for your thoughtful post with the great links. It's nice to learn new things.Lesliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13896225590676052139noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23619317.post-31558219950679090642010-05-13T08:25:58.521-04:002010-05-13T08:25:58.521-04:00Isn't it true that a weed is a weed solely bec...Isn't it true that a weed is a weed solely because people decided that they didn't like that plant and wanted it gone? Horrors of horrors. I would NOT do that now. Now that I am a farm girl, I don't like any kind of artificial sprays or killers...just the cat. He is the only killer, here. I do still pull up weeds, but they get the best of me, often. xo, CherylWhosyergurlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08796459473501881680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23619317.post-82721361734768109482010-05-12T17:21:56.944-04:002010-05-12T17:21:56.944-04:00Thanks for another informative post! Although she probably worked as hard as my Dad, but just in a different way. I'm grateful now that I grew up in such a nice traditional home. I like dandelions too ....Mollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14559827964109050348noreply@blogger.com
