Other Local Things to see and do

Our area is loaded with so many fantastic things to see and do. It is a natural wonderland full of woods, streams and rivers that are great for fishing, kayaking, and tubing. There are many beautiful farms and places to take a drive.

It is also a place rich in the arts and artists and funky little towns.

I welcome you bringing a friend or partner. They can sit on our porch and read if they like, take a drive in the country, go for lunch somewhere, go fishing and more.

Here are the towns that are worth exploring:
Shelburne Falls - The Bridge of Flowers and more
Northampton - The big artsy town about 30 minutes from the farm
Amherst - Home to UMass and Amherst College.
Brattleboro, VT - A funky, hip little city just north of us.

For fiber people, don't miss:

Delectable Mountain in Brattleboro - the most beautiful fabric store in the world in my opinion. 25 minutes from our farm
Webs Yarn Store in Northampton - great staff, lovely yarns both full and discounted prices. 35 minutes from our farm.
Northampton Wools - owned by my friend Linda Daniels and on a side street in downtown Northampton. 35 minutes from our farm.

Museums:
Historic Deerfield in Deerfield (25 minutes)
Memorial Hall Museum in Deerfield (25 minutes)
Mass MOCA in North Adams (1 hour)
Williams College Museum of Art (1 hour and 15 minutes)
Brattleboro Museum and Art Center (30 minutes)
