I love your beautiful photography & informative stories! My needlework stays pretty constant throughout the year; I'm disabled & must craft in my hospital bed at home, so outdoor activities aren't competing with crafting activities! During the summer my favorite is knitting or crocheting with lightweight yarn & smaller items-trying to keep cool without air conditioning! Thanks for being so generous with your time & resources; your blog is always a delight.

Lisa in Oregon
smithpark2@gmail.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23619317.post-24235289328044377532011-05-31T11:50:20.224-04:002011-05-31T11:50:20.224-04:00Hi Kristin! And your recipes are the best. To answer your question about summer crafting: I am always knitting or spinning something. I spend the same amount of time on my projects in the summer, but due to the heat, I switch from knitting sweaters to lace shawls or socks.

k.freshour@comcast.netAcadianoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23619317.post-7760823029532519982011-05-31T11:12:58.550-04:002011-05-31T11:12:58.550-04:00Hi Kristin,

And congrats on your 5th blogiversary!

In the summer, I find I knit more shawls and socks - small portable things that can go on vacation or to the pool. I read a lot about afghans and sweaters, and make lots of swatches and plans. I still probably spend as much time knitting as I do the rest of the year, but it is more geared to the heat of DC!

kwaltonATrestaurantDOTorgAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23619317.post-25407832604512052802011-05-31T11:04:14.473-04:002011-05-31T11:04:14.473-04:00Happy blogiversary. I leave the large projects - sweaters, blankets, etc. - for fall and winter because they are too hot to have in my lap during the summer.
