A fun little tidbit to brighten up your day. David Kennard, author and sheep farmer, used his sheep and border collies to spell out the word spring! We're still under snow here in western Massachusetts but it gives us hope.

Cool! Sheepdogs and their owners never seize to amaze me! It looked so green and springloke too. We'e covered in snow around here...almost for the first time this winter!

ReplyDeleteI remember those years when I was a student at Williams, when it would be spring when I was in the Boston or New York area for spring break, and then winter when I was back in NW Massachusetts!

ReplyDeleteWhat a riot! I can't believe he got them to stand still for the photo. I went to Williams too, and remember lots of snow! Of course, now I live in Maine, and while we don't have much snow (on the coast), it's still cold! Thanks for the chuckle.

ReplyDeleteThe picture had qutie an impact, with many requests for other words to be written in sheep, including a German newspaper asking me to do the 'Spring' in German. Anyway they are all too late as we've had a busy two weeks lambing. Most of the sheep in the picture have now delivered their lambs, and although the weather still isn't particularly spring-like, it's still an awful lot better than you have had in the US!
