This is too funny..... a sheep race in Moffat, Scotland via The Telegraph.
And a video too!
Big News from the PBS television show where I am one of two Knitting Experts (the other is the lovely Maggie Pace) - Knit and Crochet Now. Check this out. Means that we will be taping some new episodes very soon.

My friend Adaliza in the UK has just put up a tutorial for her incredibly gorgeous "Gypsy Rose" afghan. She used my Julia Yarn --- now known as Color By Kristin. Check it out here. Gorgeous is an understatement.
Do you know Sweet Paul Magazine? If not, you should. Check it out here.
Kate really is a teenager. So much energy. So gangly. Fast as the wind and really hard to get a photo of. Must get started training soon. Not my responsibility but egging him on.
The lambs that are here in the pastures near our farmhouse are finding shade under that favorite grape vine covered tree of mine. The rest of the sheep and lambs are spread far and wide through 3 different towns. A bit difficult for me to take photos unless I spend at least half a day and I have too much stuff going on for that. So sorry!
Stay tuned for lots of fun giveaways and more very soon. It's knitting, crochet, and crafting season! Get out those pointy sticks as Brenda says!
Ooo!! Great news about The SHOW!!
ReplyDeleteYAY!!
Sheep!
ReplyDeleteNever heard of a sheep race before, thanks for enlightening me.
:)
It will be interesting to see if Knit and Crochet shows up here again!! We have 3 PBS stations and if it's run at all the episodes are really old. The one station that carried it seems to have pledge programs on that day. I did write 2 of the stations and 1 replied that they would"check it out". Stay tuned!!
ReplyDeleteI hopoe the poor sheep have recovered from their ordeal.
Thank you ever so much for linking to my Gypsy Rose tutorial. Really appreciate it. Kate is so darling. Our Belle is still all gangly and super fast despite being 4! They're quite alike. She's totally puppified still and thinks she's my baby - I've probably encouraged this! She does understand every word though - even SPIDER! Which is squawked from my sofa, as autumn is upon us and monsters start to move into the house! I'm not sure which one of us is more terrified - me or the dog! Great pics of the sheep - autumn is definitely in the air. Adaliza x
ReplyDeleteLove all the links you give us.
ReplyDeleteWith fall, I've got a hankering to make the Campus Scarf from Scarf Style and am trying to chose which Color by Kristin colors to use. So difficult! I love them all.
~ hi Kristin,
ReplyDeleteThe Scottish sheep races are SO fun & silly, just loVe the riders and their hats ! terrific !!!
Kate is a beautiful dog.
~ And, wow, I loVe the photo of the sheep. Its very vintage style with the mist. Maybe you'll print postcards like that of your sheep ? I'm still old fashioned and write real letters to my friends.
Thanks again for the sheep races.
Can't wait to share it with my knitting students :)
Best,
Shell ~
