Every day the sheep trails go farther into the snow. |
It has been school vacation week here and the three of us have been sick with the flu. It has been dragging on and on and although Julia is feeling better (she got it first), her parents are wiped out. Unfortunately, farming doesn't ever stop and the animals have to be cared for and fed. It hasn't been the best week. We know it will be over soon but for now we have to get through it. I snapped these photos yesterday after I fed hay in the late afternoon.
We are expecting another 6 to 12 inches of snow this weekend. Yuck. Hope everyone out there is well.

The lambs escape the barns and pick at the giant hay bales all day long. |
|
Very nice looking lamb eating some grassy hay. |
|
Sun going down at night and lamb on top of bale - of course! |
|
The snow that drops off the barn roof is a great launchpad. |

Our best to you and the farmer to feel better soon. Glad Julia is getting past it.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon, Kristin. All the best!
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon! Lambs sure do get into mischief don't they?
ReplyDeleteOh, they are so sweet and curious! I'm so sorry you all have been sick - that is just the worst. I hope you can get a little help in so you both can rest and recover. The flu is serious business, though I'm sure it feels like the lambs could care less.
ReplyDeleteSending healing hugs.
I'm so sorry you're not feeling well! Boo. Sending healthy, healing thoughts your way!
ReplyDeleteBut thank you for my lamb fix!
Kristin, so sorry to hear you guys have got the flu. My son and I had it during Christmas holidays and it was awful. Hope you are better soon.
ReplyDeleteI love all the lamb pictures. They are just adorable.
Get well soon! Terri in TN
Oooo feel better soon...all of you.
ReplyDeleteHope you're all feeling a bit better in time for the weekend. We had some snow flurries on our way back home from Cornwall today. Cute lambkins!
ReplyDeleteHope you get better very soon. Wish I lived next door. I would be right there to help you out. Know how hard it is to get the chores done when you are feeling so poorly even with just a few animals let alone your large operation. Well thoughts being sent your way. Soon spring will be here.

My daughter loved the sheep trails photo. She said it looks like a tree and the sheep are leaves. Hope you are all feeling better soon.

Aww. Love the one with the dirty knees. It looks like knee patches.
