Farmers deal with unpredictability on a very regular basis. Just when we think everything is going swell, somethings slams you to wake you up to the reality that we are never in control - of our animals, the weather, the equipment. Stuff happens all the time and as I have said many times, we go with the flow. No need to be a control freak because I would have a nervous breakdown every day.
Today it is the first sales day for my new book 50 Sunflowers to Knit, Crochet and Felt. I was going to celebrate by going down to Webs to say hi to June Hiatt the author of the massive knitting tome - The Principles of Knitting.
Instead I stayed here and I am watching the snow come down at a crazy rate.
On book news, there is an interview over on the Classic Elite Blog along with a giveaway of my new book and my yarn Color by Kristin. Check it out here. I'll give you all a heads-up that there is also a free pattern link on their right sidebar.

You can order the book - signed by me - on my website here. If you want it inscribed to someone in particular, please add a note in the section for special instrux. Otherwise I will sign it generically. As always, my family and I thank you all for your support of our lives here on our farm.
Happy Launch Day! I am looking forward to receiving my copy of your new book! And, it does seem as though winter is just not quite through yet. I'm in Colorado and we are having beautiful weather interspersed with snow storms - today is sunny and warm, snow is expected by the end of the week. Thanks for sharing your farming life - even all the mud! :)
