Twenty-Two Years
The Farmer and I have been married twenty-two years this weekend. We here in this marraige aren't much for gift-giving. We tend towards the practical.
So, how's this for practical?
Four Boer Goats for him. That's them right here at the left. Right now, their names are Twenty-four, Twenty-five, Twenty-six, and Twenty-seven. Does anyone have any ideas to do better?
And I got a giant dump truck load of rotted sheep manure.
The Romance never stops.

How about Trip, Trap, Billy and Gruff!! HA!
Practical married people are great - my 10th - in May - passed without either of us noticing because we were focused on our celebration of it which was to happen in June.I got a new book(some knit wear and stichery design lady) and he got a set of screw removers.
Congrats on 22 years!
eenie, meenie, minie, mo just popped into my head!
Well, you know what I would say.

How about Love, Honor and Obey? Oh, that's only 3....add Fidelity.
I think Moe, Larry, Curley and Shemp would be cool names. Can you guess that I'm a guy?
I had no idea that 22 was the goat and manure anniversary! I'll have to consult the Hallmark web page more often to keep up on this kind of thing.
I have a goat name for you. I have been saving it for many years but, since it looks unlikely that I will have goats, I will give it to you: Anaximander. He was a Greek philosopher ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anaximander ). I encountered him in a university course years ago, and it struck me at once that this was a perfect name for a goat.
I think that Rataxis (a rhinoceros from the Babar stories) might go well with Anaximander.
Happy anniversary!
That's funny!
that's some beautiful manure- truly worth its weight in gold!
How about Mocha, Latte, Espresso and Capuchino as they all look sort of cafe au lait flavored.

I bought my husband a "gorgeous" composter for father's day!
Aww. I must be sick in the head: I think that's sweeter than anything "fancy."
Name them
Huey, Dewy, Louie and Fred
:oP
I was going to suggest Wynken, Blynken, Nod & Todd, but I *love* the coffee names!
Now THAT is some gifting I can appreciate. Black Gold must be the Hallmark Black Gold 22nd anniversary gift.
Awwww! He is too good to you!!
Haha, I LOVE it. Gifts that make great stories are truly the very best!
Ooh, pretty goats too! (poo pile ain't bad either).
Names...how bout Imelda, Ivana, Antoinette, and Evita...
Ican't believe all those comments. I think I have the craziest daughter ever. My vote is for the coffee names. That's pretty cute. And by the way I do wish you and Mark a happy anniversary and hope that wedded bliss brings you twenty two more years of animals and good sheep manure. What could be better. Mom

To 'Getting Stitched...' Thank you for such a lovely, homey, web site. I will attempt the fat cat but my technical skills might not get a photo sent via email. I do not read blogs ordinarily. I will look for yours again. It is charming. Thank you again, Jeanne Cronin
