In the Rockets Red Glare
Our local "2nd of July" Fireworks Show was cancelled last night because of the rain. This morning, I found the bergamot blooming in the garden making its own kind of colorful explosion. I love the weirdness of this bloom and the scent is remarkable.

My brother-in-law pointed that out to me about fuschias one time too.
i love bee balm. I have a whole bunch in my front yard, it spreads quick and smells sooo good.
Bergamot is one of my favourite herbs - I use it in hefty winter casseroles.
