Harvest Time

Sunflowers for as far as the eye can see.

It's all I can do to keep the buckets full and juggle the rest of my life.

Sharing the love with Greenfield on Leyden Road while the weather lasts!

Pretty soon the entire field will look like this

Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow.
It's what sunflowers do.

Lovely, shining, cheerful sunflowers. But whatever are you going to do with all of the these?

You must have a secret use for millions of sunflower seeds, right?

Hi Kristin. Lovely sunflowers! I drove up to Leyden for the first time ever (I am fairly new to the area, still a town or two in the county I haven't visited yet) a couple weeks ago during a fit of wanderlust but I have no idea where your place is. Nice drive out, though! Not sure I found the actual town center--I sort of came to a dead end after the library and so I turned around and headed back. My poor old car's brakes protested muchly on the drive back down to the valley, what a long slope! Must be exciting during a winter storm . . .

Your sunflowers are gorgeous! They are our state flower here in Kansas. I recently took a picture of one of the small wild ones that grow along all the dirt roads... thought you might like it...

SO pretty! A sight for sore eyes and lungs- we have HOT weather here now- high 90's and smoky skies from fires in the Sierras- should be nicer in a couple of days- maybe more like fall! Your pictures are lovely!

I love all the sunflower posts! You've got such bounty there. We've had one lonely sunflower so far this summer, despite a whole packet of seeds. I'm thoroughly enjoying your photos and sunflower art though. Thank you for sharing it!
