Good grief! Will it never end? We've got torrential rain and wind, but the promise of warm weather by next weekend. Because of the cold rain, I put the freshly shorn rams in the barn for protection and the black ram managed to break his leg somehow early this morning--probably climbing up on the sides of the pen. We've splinted it, but it doesn't look promising. In hindsight it would have been better to leave them out in the cold. Animals and extreme weather always seem to result in complications.

My folks used to say that spring snows were the 'poor man's fertilizer'. Call off the fertilizer already!

Well, I would say that at least with the snow you have an excuse to stay in and enjoy the warm, knitting and such. But since you have critters I guess you don't get to do that. Here is wishing you spring returns to your neck of the woods.
