I always wonder what our sunflower customers do with the flowers they buy from us. Do they buy one single flower and put it a little vase and set it by their sink so they can enjoy the bloom while doing the dishes? Or do they buy lots and lots and make up a big, blowsy over-the-top concoction of flowers to enjoy the week long.
We'll never know though since we don't have any idea who buys our flowers -- our stand is self-serve. At this time of year, I'm always so busy making sure my sunflower buckets are full that I barely have enough time to pick a bunch of flowers for our house. But last week I made time and built this giant arrangement in an old sap bucket. I mixed in some Love Lies Bleeding, hydrangea, and amaranth. I plopped it down on this old log that The Farmer uses for chopping wood beside the barn. The colors look so nice together and just like fall.

The arrangement looks lovely!
That is just gorgeous. Wow!
Kristin--I love your flowers!!! My son is becoming a Bar Mitzvah on November 1 and I wish there was some way I could use your sunflowers (but they likely are going to be finished by then, right?) I have been planning to use only sunflowers for his centerpieces as I love them...but seeing this arrangement has given me some ideas of what else I could add!
Wonderful arrangement, just beautiful.
