Waiting Game

Everyone was waiting here yesterday. The sheep were waiting for today's messy weather - snow, ice, sleet.

Some of the ewes are waiting for their lambs to come. Lots of laying around. Their wide sides remind me of waiting for my baby to come during the last month of pregnancy. Oh, how I relate to their discomfort - even ten years later. FYI - sheep are only pregnant for five months.

Eeyore is waiting for another photo opportunity.

And such lovely weather we're getting here today, too. I hope you're getting more snow than ice!

Eeyore is the best! I hope he's keeping the predators away from the sheep.

So glad to see a post; I was a little worried, and hoping that you weren't facing more coyote problems or any of the other 101 things that can happen when you raise sheep!

Great pictures. I love Eyeore's expression. 5 months, huh. I glad you don't raise elephants! Pregnant for 22 months. Yikes. Goodluck with the birthing season.

You take such great pictures, despite the weather. I am on the eastern coast, but I listen for your area too, I have relatives a little further west. Do the animals act different when a storm is coming? Do they seem to know? City Girls don't really learn that stuff.

Sometimes I call my husband Eeyore -- it just fits ;-)
