This morning, the first day of spring, we found 3 brand new lambs in the pasture in front of our house - one set of twins and a single. Wasn't able to catch a photo of the twins but here is the single. The mama is a Cheviot cross yearling. Her baby is running all around the field. The twins are a bit more hidden amongst the apple trees but doing fine. The larger lamb was born a few weeks ago.
It is so much fun to walk out our door and hear the sweet little high pitched baaaaahs as they chase after their mamas through the pastures. Enjoy the first days of spring wherever you are.

It is so lovely to see the cycle of life on your farm.
It seems to be wet and then wetter in our neck of the woods.
Happy spring.

Love the way Mama sheep is just nuzzling her youngster - magical. Spring has arrived here - by afternoontime at least. Freezing cold nights and misty morns, but really warming up after lunch then, as the sun begins to sink it's fleeces on and ducky-to-bed-time! She can't wait to get into her cosy little house!
How sweet.
By the way, I am an occasional blogger on Explore Beyond the Usual. I posted about the Shutesbury library hoping to garner some more donations for them.
