If you were a Border Collie...

If you were a Border Collie ...... these chickens would excite you to no end.

You can see the excitement, the focus, can't you?

Phoebe is 13 and she still runs out the door like a wild woman. I know it is the best part of her day. Nessie is 8 and she is still enthusiastic about anything that moves.  Kate is just short of a year and she is getting smarter by the day. So cute, wouldn't you say? I love my black and white dogs.

Sometimes I wonder what the chickens think of all the commotion. They probably don't really think about it. Just looking for the grub.

Big weekend here with my Two Day Getting Stitched on the Farm Class. Can't wait to meet everyone.

My three golden Retrievers have that same focus. Only it involves tennis balls, not feathers.

The shepard I used to buy wool from had a Border Collie that wanted to herd the kittens and cats in the worst way. You could see that having all those little animals running every which way all in no kind of order really bothered her. They would have to tell her "No Cats, Possum---go lay down." She would stare at them for hours.

Our 2 collies are totally obsessed - with each other, us, Flora-the-duck, anything that moves, a torch-light, a tinkerbell sunlight fairy. They're amazing creatures and just like your chickens, Flora doesn't give a hoot! (should that be quack)?!? Have a wonderful weekend.

I drove out to the farm yesterday afternoon to be sure I would know where to go today. Two of the Borders and a large pale yellow dog greeted my car by the lamb shed. I think they must enjoy anyone, hen, woman or whatever. Brenda and I enjoyed dinner in Greenfield and lovely rest at House on the Hill. I can hardly contain myself with eager anticipation of the day. See you soon!
