Snowy White

We got a fresh new coating of snow Wednesday - another 5 to 6". It looks beautiful, doesn't it?

Winston's coat is so thick. He looks like a polar bear.

Love this photo of Teddy the Kitten and the embroidered cat from Kids Embroidery. Hope some of you who bought Kids Embroidery might find to stitch and relax over the holidays.  Thank you all for all the orders!

Found these incredibly beautiful Christmas cards embroidered by stitchers from France and Belgium. They were purchased by WWI Soldiers. They were sent home to the UK. See them here. My favorites are No. 1 and 6.

I've been working like a mad woman to get the illustrations done for my next book before the holidays. I'm almost finished but am now dropping it and moving on towards holiday prep. Haven't done a thing yet. Anyone else in the same boat?

Merry merry friends!

ahh...VERY "POSTCARD"-esque! I especially love the SUNSHINE part! Haven't been getting much of that around here of late... Too much shovelling, yo-yo temps, idiot-traffic, CROWDS! -- "SCROOGE" - a very MISunderstood Fellow!

**ANYWAY**... Hope You and THE GANG have a *HAPPY*, SAFE, mucho-Receiving-STUFF, Precipitation-FREE, *FUN* "HOLIDAY"!! -- And, *HUGS* all-round!

oh. And, HAPPY SOLSTICE!!
:-D

That's Soooo Christmassy! Looks like you're living in your birch houses. Winston is awesome - what a great specimen, doing what he's bred for. Good luck with your illustrations and all your preparations. I'm madly finishing quilts! Haven't progressed into the kitchen other than to keep us fed every day.

Your home looks picture-postcard perfect nestled in the snow.
This kitten is so adorable and always finds a soft place to nap. It will be hard to let her go to her new home.

The closer it gets, the more I'm thinking simplification! I'm behind on nearly everything. I was all set for a wrapping session tonight and discovered I have NO paper! That means another trip out - ugh!
Your house looks beautiful in the snow and Winston is quite handsome. Hope he's working hard for you. Merry Christmas, Kristin, to you and your family.

Some of our family heirlooms are embroidered cards (not Christmas cards) sent home by my Pop from France to various of his family members. A couple of them look quite similar to those in the link.
Hope you had a lovely Christmas.
