We kept putting the lambs' move to the great outdoors off because it was so wickedly cold. We were worried they would expire from the shock. Finally it warmed up and the time was right. And besides, I thought it would be nice to have friends over for dinner. Dinner guests hadn't been possible for a few weeks due to the state of the place. The date was set and out they went but not before I took these really cute photos. Phoebe is still bummed about the lack of farm animals in her house.
On this photo, can you see the littlest lamb under the hutch. 
What about the one little leg wrapped around the front sheep on the right. Aww.
It took me a good day and lots of scrubbing but the kitchen and the bathroom are sheep poop free. Ahhh, the joys of living on a farm.

When my aunt had house lambs the dogs always cleaned up after them nicely :P Nessie looks too refined for such grossness though. She has a good eye on those babies.
Oh you are right they are so cute, I can't imagine having to look after the lambs in your house and the mess they make-did not think of that one, but very cute and I am sure worth it.

I had a pet lamb and can understand the feelings of "guests". It doesn't go well when the little critters come for coffee too!
So very very cute they are. I am wondering if they follow the dog or does the dog follow them?

I am just loving the lambs in the kitchen photos. They are day brighteners for sure (not sure that the lamb poop is a day brightener for you though). Thanks for sharing the joys of farm life with us.
Hmmm...no sheep poop in my house...dog, cat, parrot, guinea pig, yes...sometimes granddaughter, but no sheep.
I've never had the opportunity to be around lambs before. I guess I never realized how utterly adorable they are.
Hello. I've enjoyed reading your blog for awhile (who wouldnt with those adorable lambs!?!) but havent commented, however somethings been on my mind that I'm dying to know...growing up my friends had sheep and I remember the lambs tails being tied so they would become short, but what I dont remember is do the tails just fall off and then you have tails scattered around the barnyard??? Or does the tie "numb" the area so it can be removed??? I'm clueless! haha :)

I am so infatuated with the little ones! The whole farm really, but not so much the farm life. I live in Eastern Mass and I am pretty sure you will be getting another "whack" from old man winter tonight...does this mean you rethink the plan or they will be okay now? I'm willing to help with the poop duty if necessary!
Will they later think they are dogs? The motherly care of this dog might have something convincing.
