September is Sunflower Month
It's been a tough year for farming here in western Massachusetts as in so many parts of the country. And still our sunflowers pulled through. Not as stunning as in past years, nor enough blooms to sell on the roadside stand..... but from these photos, you will never know. Happy weekend all!

They look gorgeous! They brighten up rooms and faces. It really cooled off here and I even turned on the heat for 30 minutes or so. Cold weather makes me go through all of my fabric pieces...I guess because they are all warm, bright colors.

I think that times are challenging everywhere. We are very grateful for what we have and hope for better times to come. I'm happy you're on a hill and that the floods didn't get you, that your daughter is becoming a beautiful young lady and (hopefully) the sheep are doing extremely well.
I love sunflowers; am in the process of redoing my kitchen with sunflower theme. I am thankful I purchased wallpaper and border years ago. Sunflowers are out, you know!!
Gorgeous! The goldfinches are loving our sunflowers here. :) We are definitely experiencing an apple shortage here. The only organic orchard in Ohio near us has no apples to sell this year. Boo! We will look elsewhere and hope for a better farming year for all next year!
One day I would love to plant an entire field with sunflowers. I'm only afraid that it would become a deer snack bar in no time! Your photos are beautiful, as usual.
