Some Blogger News

If you are a blogger, and using Blogger as your host, like I am.... you may be interested in this news. For quite a while I have been contemplating switching my blog to another platform but I just don't have the time nor energy nor smarts to do it so I keep on with the same old thing. With this new "dynamic views" format, you can get more of a modern look. I changed our Leyden Glen Lamb Recipe Blog to the new "dynamic views" format. If you have the time, check it out and tell me what you think..... The cool thing is the reader (that would be you) gets the chance to change the format of the blog themselves. Infinitely playful but maybe too confusing for many. The new "dynamic views" are not supported on mobile devices though.

At this point, I do not have plans to change the format of "Getting Stitched on the Farm" (my sidebars would go away and I do not want to lose them..... they are integral to the history of this site). Always something new to learn and think about though. The web moves on and on.

Kristin,
I like the sidebars because they make it easy for me to view patterns and find info from previous posts.

I love the new format. I can format it myself into the easiest way that my brain can process it, and all with just one click.

Thanks Kristin,
I will check it out. I post on blogger too, saw that button, but didn't want to go there. Now I will try it.

I'm another for STICKING to the OLD Format! Not that I'm against "new toys", however -- You know, IF it *ain't* "broke"...

Just give it a little Time and Mass Exodus and *hopefully* the Attention-Span-Of-A-Gnat-Marketing-Guys will eventually get a Clue about the Oooo-Shiny-Object-People that They "think" They can attract.

The sidebar version is OK, but the other versions are just to cluttered for my taste. I actually like the old version the best.

I just noticed the new format that's available - not sure I'll switch up my blog, but it is really nice to see the new formatting in "real life" on your recipes blog.

Howdy! I clicked on your recipe site...and it said I had to download a new updated browser in order to view it! LOL! I'm not sure I want to rock the boat at this point...and what an updated browser will do to my stuff?? I'll have to brave thru it soon enough I suppose?

For your recipe site the new software is great. However, I would not like it for 'Getting Stitched on the Farm'. It is too modern. The personality and individuality of the site would be lost with the modern look.

I have no problem navigating your site. Now, maybe it would make life easier for you. That I do not know. I like and use your sidebars.

Just my two cents which is probably not worth that much. :) I will follow you regardless! Do what is best and easiest for you if it still allows your personality and artiness to come through.
