Sheep at Sunset

The other day, The Farmer was pasturing the sheep at just the right spot for an amazing photo opportunity. I made a mental note to be home by sunset so I could catch the moment to share with all of you. Phoebe, Nessie, and I ran up the road and arrived just in time. Here's how Phoebe saw it. Do you think she was as wowed as me, or did she think I was just plain nutty lying on the ground next to her?

This single sheep must have been enjoying the sunset and forgot to move with the rest of the flock. They usually move as a complete unit - almost like humans flocking to the subway at commuting time. Although it beautiful around here most of the time, that night was quite extraordinary.

Phoebe enjoys the simple things like being warm, well fed and having alot of head patting and belly scratching! Sunsets are probably not one of her favorite things.

I love coming here to your blog and seeing and reading images of New England in the Autumn, especially. I miss it quite a bit (I grew up in MA). I love the sheep and dog photos especially. Thanks!
