Never too early to start....

Christmas decorations that is. A few months ago, Brett Bara, the Editor of Crochet Today, asked me to make some simple crocheted, embroidered and felted Christmas ornaments. Here's what I came up with.

These are so very simple. If you are just wanting to learn how to crochet, this might be the project for you.

You'll find the crochet ornaments in the current November/December issue of Crochet Today which is on newstands now. (Photos below courtesy of Crochet Today website)

I really should make up some of these for our tree. They would also make great little tags for the top of a Christmas gift box.

I so love your color sense! The ornaments are delightful.

This is my first visit to your site, having traveled here via PG's great site. I will surely be checking in again.

Best wishes.

Great timing! I just signed up to do an ornament swap on Ravelry...

I'm wondering... what if you sewed two together and stuffed them for a dimensional look? Or made several smaller ones and sewed them the way we used to make those ornaments out of cards when I was a kid?
Fun!

You just added to my list of things I want to do for the holidays! :) They look wonderful! I am trying to shortening up my list of things so that I can try a project like yours where you add embroidery to things. I love it! Thanks for all the color ideas!

So cute! And how about using them as coasters? That way you could enjoy them more than just at Christmas.

Thanks for posting this. I ran out and got the magazine and some yarn and have made some cute ornaments to put on the top of gifts. I am new to crochet, so getting started was a little tricky, but they turned out great. Thank You!
