Something Pretty and More from the Construction Front

Lovely little feverfew blooming by the doorway downstairs.

My garden leaves a bit to be desired with all the construction going on and trucks coming and going across the lawn. Oh well, there is always next year.

Here's what the upstairs porch looks like before the plywood goes on to cover the framing. You can see the 3 framed windows that look out to the east. The sun rises behind the mountain.

Here is the west side of the porch. This wall will be completely covered. The big piece of plastic is covering the hole that got cut into our kitchen. A 15 light glass door will connect the kitchen with the porch.

This is the south side of the porch. There will be 4 windows and when we look out, we'll see the garden and the pasture.

That's it for today. Much more progress happening.

It looks gorgeous, Kristin. What lovely views you have!

We have just moved to NH and I am unpacking all my knitting books.... way too many of them! But I gave your books, that you signed for me at Ewephoric class in Ct, the place of honor. Now I can get started on some embellishing for my grandaughters!

I've always loved the medicinal smell of feverfew. And the flowers are so perfect.

Can't wait to see the addition in person!

Thanks for posting your progress. Can't wait to see what it looks like when it's finished and you've done your decorating magic inside.
We're prepping for our own remodel here, at my family's cabin in the Sierra mtns: new foundations and bumping out the living room 12 feet...my teenagers will help my 75 yr old architect/builder dad with all the finish work. It will be a busy summer!

I want to thank you for my education today. I always thought feverfew were daisies! I'm now fascinated and need to learn the difference. Awesome.
