What's To Come....
We had our first bit of snow over the weekend - it sure was a wake-up call as to what is to come. It has been really cold at night although the days have been rather beautiful for walking and doing odd chores. It is the first week of shot gun hunting season so there are lots of strangers in big old trucks driving up and down our road. This morning after I put Julia on the school bus, I walked down to see the lambs. It was a gorgeous morning with the mist rising. You could see the sheep breathing. They often lie under this old apple tree that is being swallowed up by a really old grapevine. I wonder what they think about the strangers in trucks and the occasional shotgun blast.

That picture reminds me of the cover of The Sheep and The Rowan Tree. A cute children's book. http://student.ccbcmd.edu/~cyau1/200%20ACS%20Study%20Guide%20for%20O%20Chem%20I%20Sp%202009.htm
That is such a lovely picture, Kristin!
