Ten Things......

Our rhubarb is growing and I'm about to go into a rhubarb frenzy. Tell me - how did the bugs get the leaves already!

Love this time of year! All that voluptuousness....

I love rhubarb. It's almost impossible to grow it in the South, but occasionally I can buy it if I'm watchful at the market. I have fond memories of it as a summer treat, sitting on the porch, eating it raw with a little bowl of sugar to dip it in.

Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie is one of my favorites. I have never seen bugs bother rhubarb before. Time to call in the Ladybug squadron.

My husband and I inherited a rhubarb plant from the people who lived in our house before us... and we have no idea what to do with it! I don't think I've ever eaten anything with rhubarb in it.

It's also smack dab in the middle of our yard for no apparent reason. I'd hate to get rid of it, but I'm also afraid to move it :(

Mine's about ready too (I'm in Ottawa)and I will be making a rhubarb meringue cake tonight. No bugs there yet, but I've been picking lily beetles already. I think the bugs are always there as soon as the plants are, almost!

Love the rhubarb arrangement! I have had several hysterical "snorting" incidents while reading Ten Things Not to Say..thanks for the link. I would venture to say that there could be ten more that would be better left unsaid.
