Half way through the week. Bit of a frustrating day. I was supposed to be on the Webs Podcast today with my fellow Knit and Crochet-er Ellen Gormley. There was some kind of snafu and although I was waiting on the line, they couldn't get back to me. Bummer. Missed talking with the lovely Kathy. She does a great interview.
Tomorrow I'm going to be on Marly Bird's YarnThing Podcast at noon Eastern Time. You can actually call in and talk to me, Candi Jensen (the producer of Knit & Crochet Now), and Marly. The number is (347) 539-5589 if you want to say hi. The podcast will be archived so you can listen to it anytime. Isn't technology marvelous.
It's pretty much the end of Wooly Bear weather here. I guess they are all hibernating somewhere til next year. It's funny how they are all over the place in the fall.
I caught this one on my stone steps and I couldn't resist bringing out the Wooly Bear I knit for my 50 Sunflowers to Knit, Crochet and Felt book. The poor little guy was a bit confused I must say.
Check out this awesome Granny Square decorating here.
This looks like a beautiful new French Chicken book. Too bad it isn't available in the US.
Look at this incredible crocheted flower wreath by Lucy at Attic24. Beautiful.

I missed you on the podcast today too! :(
Kathy said that she'll be glad to try again!
Thank you for the link to the afghans. This was inspiring. I make at least one afghan a year and love the simplest ones.
I am seeing information about French country living but not chickens. As I love chicken books I would like to see it.
I thought maybe it was me as I didn't see any chickens. But it does look like a lovely place to visit.
Here's an updated link on the French chickens.
